Choristers Celebrate Anniversaries
On October 28, 2018 Milwaukee Choristers past and present gathered to celebrate the 85th anniversary of our chorus and the 25th anniversary of Dr. James B. Kinchen, Jr. as our music director. The City of Milwaukee issued an official commendation recognizing James’ 25 year contribution to the performing arts in our community.Â
With Heartfelt Gratitude
Thanks to generous donations and some insurance money we were able to replace the concert risers, conductor’s podium and storage trailer that were stolen just days before our April 2018 performances. We purchased folding 3-step riser sections with an attachable 4th step and back rail similar to what was stolen; however, they are lighter-weight and have improved wheels and carts to make transportation easier. A customized trailer is expected to arrive just in time for our December concerts. We are forever grateful to everyone who contributed to our fundraising campaign!Â
