Having been formed in 1933 by a group of alumni of the Riverside High School’s A Cappella Choir, the Choristers have a special affinity for high school singers. With that in mind, many concerts include a “Back To Our Roots” segment, where area high school groups are invited to perform on the Choristers program.

On those occasions, each night’s concert is closed with the high school singers returning to the stage and joining ranks with the members of the Milwaukee Choristers to offer a choral benediction. This program is designed to demonstrate that singing is an activity that can be enjoyed well beyond high school and to encourage members of the high school choruses at some future date to audition to sing with the Milwaukee Choristers.
